Ca’ Lustra's vineyards are nestled among gorgeous green shady slopes, in the heart of the Colli Euganei Regional Park. Ca' Lustra Zavonello Selections' roots lie in the genuine passion of the Zanovello family, their deep knowledge of the region, and their dedication to nature and sustainable agriculture (they have been organic since 2007).

Their journey started in the 1960’s, when Angelo Zanovello bought the house in Faedo as a countryside retreat. In 1977 Franco, fascinated by winemaking, turned an old room in the stables into a winery. His knowledge and contagious commitment grew fast (along with the business) and now the family farm of 42 hectares (25 of which are vineyards) is run by Franco with his children Marco and Linda.

This cru, on the south-east slope of the Monte Venda is 400 meters above sea level. Here the white varieties are grown that best translate the minerality and structure of the soil, a mix of volcanic breccia, clay, marl and trachyte.

Manzoni Sottovenda is pure Manzoni Bianco which makes a mineral, persistent and long-lived white wine.

It ferments and matures in large, old oak barrels, where it remains for several months on its lees. Then it is transferred to cement tanks for 10-12 months, to be finally bottled after almost two years from the harvest. It is not clarified nor filtered.
