Slate slopes and salty sea breezes ? on the shores of the Mediterranean, Vi?edos Verticales? vineyards cling to precipitous hillsides. Viticulture here is very traditional, farmed by hand (the only way you can at these inclines) and irrevocably linked to mules used to work the land; they are used to plough, harvest and for loading. Old bush vine Muscat of Alexandria makes up the majority of plantings, alongside Pero Xim?n, Doradilla, Garnacha and Rom?, which are tended ecologically to protect the environment.
The same care is given in the winery, gentle handling of the grapes and indigenous ferments in a mixture of vessels stainless steel, concrete vats and tanks, wooden barrels and large oak casks over 100 years old.
La Raspa Blanca is Moscatel (Muscat of Alexandria) and Doradilla from younger, north-facing schist vineyards, spontaneously fermented in tanks and aged in concrete vats on fine lees for five months.
