A new project from Portuguese winemaker extraordinaire Rodrigo Martins who is behind Espera Wines and our Desconhecida keg range. The Intervalo wines offer fantastic value while expressing the typical freshness and minerality of this atlantic region and showcasing regional grape varieties.
Castelao (90%) and Touriga Nacional (10%) from Obidos and Alcobaca vineyards, parcels with north east exposition and clay-limestone soils. Grapes are destemmed and are then fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel vats. The wine undergoes a short 5-day maceration before finishing fermentation and maturation in stainless steel.
