The Clos Signadore is based in Poggio d’Olerra, near the mountainous part of Corsica and is planted with 40 year old Nielluccio vines (local variety very similar to Sangiovese). Christophe Ferrandis established the Domaine in 2001 converting to organic production in 2010.
Having previously made wines with Domaine Pibarnon in Bandol he originally moved to Corscia to be a consultant with the co-operative. When he discovered the older vines he was able to take a few hectares for himself.
The A Mandria rosé is 100% Nielluccio, aged on the lees after harvest and bottled the following spring. The vineyards were certified to organic status in 2013.
