- PRODUCER NOTES
- FARMING & WINEMAKING NOTES
Fabien Jouves founded his winery, Mas del Perie, in 2006 and has farmed his 21 hectares in the hills of Cahors and Quercy biodynamically since 2011. He doesn't care whether his wines achieve Cahors AOC status as he prefers to declassify and be free to experiment with grape varieties, blends and ageing techniques.
Fabien's Malbec's and Malbec blends are usually two distinct styles: the elegant 'Vins de Terroir' and the easy drinking 'Vins de Soif'. He's created this wine specially for kegging and we believe the Jour Fruit, named after the day of the moon calendar on which it was kegged, is right in the middle; Elegant and Easy.
Fabien blended the different vintages in a large concrete tanks in which he continued to age the wine.
