"Nutty citrus. Both ripe and somehow salty. Even more salty on the palate, a mouth-watering character. Apparently Stefano Menti has worked in Jura and it has that character. Mouth-watering, intense, long, linear but not lean. Really striking wine and not what you might expect from the region. Good value. Drink 2021–2025"

A winery that has been in the same family since the 19th Century.  Located in Gambellara, a town in the province of Vicenza in Veneto, north east Italy. Neighbouring Soave and with Gargenaga vines planted on volcanic soils.

Founded by Giovanni Menti, before being handed over to his son Antonio after the Second World War.  Another Giovanni began running the Estate in 1964, and now works with his son Stefano since 2002.

The current incumbent, Stefano Menti, instigated the transition to organic (2004) and biodynamic (2010) farming, preserving the terroir in his wines.

All their wines are 100% Gargenaga fermented with indigenous yeast in concrete vessels.

The grapes are harvested using wooden boxes and pressed at 0,6 bar.  The juice selected is fermented by using only natural yeast in stainless steel or cement tanks under controlled temperature.  The wine stays in tank until the following December.  Bottled unfiltered.
